Beecha Creek and Pingine are large tenements located south west Qld in the Eromanga basin which is prospective for thermal coal. Beecha Creek has not yet been granted.

Both tenements have had limited previous exploration.  Coal has been intersected in the Winton formation in some boreholes in the area. To date, the thickest intersection was encountered in the north western part of Beecha Creek, which identified eight banded coal bands which occur over an interval of 14.0 metres from a depth of 60.5 metres, totalling 3.5 metres of coal of sub-bituminous rank.

International Coal (ICX) has been exploring in the tenements surrounding Pingine and Beecha Creek and has reported very large targets of thermal coal.  It is believed that these coal measures also underlay a significant portion of Pingine and Beecha Creek.

Exploration in the form of 2D seismic and drilling is proposed for Beecha Creek and Pingine and will form part of Carabella's long term exploration program. However, these tenements are not an immediate focus for the Company.
